Aquatic Manager Double Campus  - School Year 2026-2027


 

Shanghai French School is  is looking for an Aquatic Manager to oversee the swimming pools at its Yangpu and Qingpu campuses. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will ensure the safety, hygiene, and quality of aquatic activities, manage the teams, oversee pool operations, and contribute to the development of a dynamic aquatic program in line with regulatory and educational standards.

Our school welcomes students aged 2 to 18, from kindergarten to the Baccalaureate, across its two campuses in Qingpu and Yangpu. An international and multilingual school, accredited by the French Ministry of National Education and part of the AEFE network, it provides high-quality education to over 1,530 students from 60 nationalities.



Your Role 

The Aquatic Manager will supervise a team of 18 lifeguards, 4 coaches, and 1 technical coordinator. You will play a central role in coordinating aquatic activities, ensuring the safety of users, and guaranteeing the smooth operation of the pools.

    Safety and Hygiene

    • Ensure the safety of pool users and compliance with supervision rules.
    • Train and manage the lifeguard / swimming instructor team.
    • Monitor water quality, facility operation, and hygiene protocols.
    • Organize evacuation drills and ensure compliance with ERP standards.


    Management and Operations

    • Supervise, train, and evaluate the aquatic staff.
    • Manage opening/closing schedules and bookings (school programs, extracurricular activities, public access).
    • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of the facilities.
    • Monitor budgets and orders for equipment and consumables.


    Service Development and Customer Relations

    • Plan and promote aquatic activities.
    • Develop partnerships with sports clubs and associations.
    • Ensure high-quality customer service and clear communication with pool users.
    • Organize training sessions to maintain and improve the team’s skills.


    Monitoring and Improvement

    • Keep regulatory records up to date and analyze pool usage.
    • Track students’ progress and provide regular reports.
    • Propose and implement improvements for facilities and activities.
    • Stay updated on safety and hygiene regulations.





Your Profile 

 We are looking for a committed and motivated Aquatic Manager who is eager to work in an international educational environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken;
  • A bachelor’s degree (required for work permit);
  • Certification as a Swimming Instructor (Maître-Nageur);
  • Proven experience managing aquatic teams and facilities, preferably in an educational or international environment;
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and external partners;
  • Calm and proactive in emergency situations, with a professional and service-oriented attitude. 


The position requires working on both campuses and may sometimes include evenings or weekends for training sessions and competitions.
