Shanghai French School welcomes students
aged 2 to 18, from kindergarten to the Baccalaureate, across its two campuses
in Qingpu and Yangpu. An international and multilingual school, accredited by
the French Ministry of National Education and part of the AEFE network, it provides
high-quality education to over 1,530 students from 60 nationalities.
As part of a maternity leave replacement, we are looking for a Middle and High School English Teacher with EFL/ESL experience at our Qingpu campus from February 2026.
This position is open to native English speakers only.
Your Responsibilities:
- Teach English up to IGCSE level (Language A, Literature, and ESL), adapting lessons to diverse student needs.

Plan, design, and deliver engaging lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and academic growth.
- Assess and monitor student progress.

Provide differentiated instruction to support students at various levels of English proficiency.
- Maintain a well-organized classroom that fosters learning and collaboration.
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom activities.
- Contribute to school life, extracurricular projects, and the broader educational community.
Hard Skills

Possess a bachelor’s degree in English Language with a teaching qualification, or a bachelor’s in education specializing in English Language.

Experience with EAL (English as an Additional Language) is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in an international context highly appreciated
- Comfortable using educational software and digital tools

Interest in drama would be a plus.

Willingness to understand and adopt the French education system and work with students who use English as a second or foreign language.
