French Primary School Teacher – School Year 2026-2027
Shanghai French School is looking for a dedicated and passionate French Primary School Teacher to join our international community for the 2026-2027 school year.
Our school welcomes students
aged 2 to 18, from kindergarten to the Baccalaureate, across its two campuses
in Qingpu and Yangpu. An international and multilingual school, accredited by
the French Ministry of National Education and part of the AEFE network, it provides
high-quality education to over 1,530 students from 60 nationalities.

Your Role
As a primary school teacher, you will have the opportunity to contribute to students’ academic development, well-being, and personal growth in a stimulating and multicultural environment. Your main responsibilities include:
- Design, implement and deliver lessons in accordance with the French National Education curriculum, taking into account students’ diversity;
- Establish a structured classroom environment that promotes learning, social skills, autonomy, and respect for collective rules;
- Observe, assess students’ progress and support each child in their learning journey;
- Ensure students’ physical and emotional safety at all times;
- Act as a responsible educator, in accordance with ethical principles and the institutional framework;
- Actively participate in school life (staff meetings, team projects, outings, and school events);
- Work collaboratively with the teaching staff, educational teams, and families;
- Pay close attention to students’ well-being and help identify any academic, behavioral, or personal difficulties, in coordination with the educational team.

Your Profile
We are looking for committed, passionate teachers who are motivated to work in an international environment. The ideal profile includes:

Holder of a French National Education diploma or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience.
- Proficient in French for teaching purposes.

Ability to work effectively in a team or in pairs and to adapt teaching to the needs of each student.

Comfortable with digital educational tools and pedagogical projects.
- Committed to creating a positive learning environment.

Proficiency in English is desirable; experience in bilingual teaching is highly valued.
