IT Support

Shanghai French School is currently recruiting an IT Support Technician (Level 2) for our Qingpu campus to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and ongoing development of Shanghai French School’s information systems. This position involves maintaining the availability of IT tools, providing technical support and guidance to staff, and ensuring secure access to digital resources for all students.

Our school welcomes students aged 2 to 18, from kindergarten to the Baccalaureate, across its two campuses in Qingpu and Yangpu. An international and multilingual school, accredited by the French Ministry of National Education and part of the AEFE network, it provides high-quality education to over 1,530 students from 60 nationalities.

Your Role 

• Providing second-level IT support, assisting the first-level support team, and escalating unresolved issues to higher levels when necessary.
• Analyzing information collected by Level 1 support and performing advanced troubleshooting to determine root causes and precise diagnostics.
• Documenting support activities and escalating incidents to Level 1 for resolution when appropriate.
• Contributing to the update and maintenance of the IT inventory and stock management.
• Collaborating with IT colleagues from the DSS and assisting in the preparation and installation of meetings and events requiring IT support.
• Updating internal documentation and user guides.
• Maintaining relationships with vendors and providing assistance to Level 1 support when needed.
• Seeking assistance from colleagues and the IT Manager as required.
• Interacting with all staff (administrative and pedagogical) and students, as well as their parents.
• Participating in internal IT department meetings.

Your Profile 

We are looking for a committed and motivated IT Support professional who is eager to work in an international environment. The ideal profile includes: 

• Fluency in Chinese and English is required; proficiency in French is a plus ;
• Proven experience in IT support, preferably in a similar educational or international environment;
• Solid understanding of core IT principles, including the OSI model ;
• Proficiency in Windows, Linux, iOS, and cloud-based systems such as O365, Aliyun, and Azure ;
• Experience with Active Directory, SharePoint, and Exchange administration ;
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V;
• Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze system and network logs ;
• Ability to manage internal IT projects and provide technical support for administrative and educational needs ;
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and efficiently to colleagues and management.

The position is based at Qingpu campus.
