Shanghai French School is looking for a dedicated School Psychologist to join our international team at Yangpu campus for the 2026-2027 school year.  

Our school welcomes students aged 2 to 18, from kindergarten to the Baccalaureate, across its two campuses in Qingpu and Yangpu. An international and multilingual school, accredited by the French Ministry of National Education and part of the AEFE network, it provides high-quality education to over 1,530 students from 60 nationalities.



Your Role 

As a School Psychologist, you will support the well-being and development of students from Kindergarten to High School, working closely with teachers, school staff, management, and families. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Provide individual and group psychological support to students; identify emotional, social, or academic difficulties and refer to external resources when needed.
  • Conduct observations and psychological assessments (cognitive, socio-emotional, attentional) to better understand students’ needs.
  • Advise teachers on pedagogical adaptations for students with specific needs and contribute to school-wide initiatives on well-being and inclusion.
  • Participate in educational meetings, student follow-up teams, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Support families through guidance meetings, assessment feedback, and school transitions.
  • Lead thematic workshops or presentations for students and parents (e.g., emotions, self-esteem, stress management, bullying prevention).




Your Profile 

We are looking for a committed  School Psychologist, motivated to work in an international educational environment. The ideal profile includes:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology (child, adolescent, or educational psychology) and registered psychologist (ADELI or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a school setting.
  • Fluent in French; strong command of English highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with management, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of child/adolescent development.
  • Familiarity with psychometric tools recognized by the French National Education system.
  • Clear communication, professional ethics, strict confidentiality, and cultural adaptability in an international context.


The position is based at the Yangpu campus.
